Doggie Jumper is finished!

I am proud to say the jumper is finished! After the second attempt I am pretty happy with it! There are quite a few mistakes but I still think its good for a first/second attempt!

I also decided to add a nice little bow and trim. I will post the video for the bow at the bottom, is so quick and easy!

The bow video:

Doggie Jumper

Progress update! Well after starting the first one and almost finishing it I realised that it was going to be far far too small! I did learn you need to make things initially bigger than you think you do as they always turn up a bit smaller!

So I started again and here is the new one, (on the right) I have finished the body & back legs. Next is the front arm holes and neckline.

Scarf Update!

The scarf is developing well! It has tripled if not more in size since my last post! I have also experimented with tassels on the end to see what they look like. Personally I like them, any opinions?

Cable Knit Scarf

I have started knitting a cable knit scarf today! Is a lovely cream wool, the same as the fingerless gloves I created in my previous post. This is the current status, but will keep updating!

Beret no 2

Well I said I was getting on well with my second beret but it has been a bit if a disaster! I ran out of wool and isn't big enough! Here is it at its unfinished but finished state! Haha

Beret Hat Number 2!

I was very impressed with my first hat so I have decided to make another! I am using a different wool, which looks like 'blue denim'. Its a lovely colour and will match a lot of things I have!

I will use the same video as last time, but I think I may either add a flower or pom pom to it when finished!

This is its status so far...

FINISHED SNOOD!

I have finally finished the snood and I am very pleased with it! Its very soft and is going to make an excellent Christmas present, along with the matching gloves!

Marcie

Snood very nearly finished!

Previously in the post about the fingerless glove I spoke about a matching snood! I just wanted to post a status update that we are almost at completion! Hurray!

I'm pretty chuffed with it so far! It a basic rib stitch, as I didn't want the stitch or pattern to be over powering as it is more about the snood design itself.

Here it is at the moment!

Crochet Beret/ Beanie

I done this all this evening, didn't take me long at all! As i said in the previous post, I am yet to learn how to use circular or more than 2 needles, so if I wanted to knit a hat it wouldn't be possible so I decided to crochet one! This was very easy to follow and I would recommend watching the video! Has a very good step by step!

The hat is modelled by my lovely friend! :)
I absolutely love the turquoise colour, is a lovely warming autumn colour!

Here is the video:

Fingerless Glove!

I am not one of the expert knitters who can use circular needles or more than 2 needles yet so I am yet to learn how to knit gloves and socks! But the first step for me was to make these fingerless gloves!

They were very easy! Simple knit & purl again, and I decreased the stitches by 2 to create a smaller size for the wrist :)

I am currently making a matching snood! So that will be posted very soon!

Cheap easy T-shirt scarf!

I know this isn't knitting or crochet but I really wanted to talk about it! I watched this video on YouTube and I thought it was such a brilliant idea! So i tried it and it passed!

I bought a £, XXL navy t-shirt from the men's section in Primark, cut it in strips, pulled the strips and gather them and bam, you have a lovely scarf!

Here it is!

And this is the video I used:

Enjoy!

Knitted Cushion

This was just an experiment really! It consists of a rib stitch- 2 knit, 2 purl repeated, reversed on back row

I got the cushion itself from Wilkinson for ridiculously cheap, like £2 or something!

It was quick to do and effective I think! :)

Marcie

Headbands!

I had a bit of an obsession making these if I'm honest! They consist of a variety of stitches and styles.

The general style was of: 2 Knit, 2 Purl then a cable with 6 knit stitches and 2 Knight and 2 Purl
On the back row I would reverse these stitches, and do the cable every 7 rows

Here are some examples
On this one I crocheted a flower to give it a more personal touch!

These headbands are a real variety! The closest one is a seed stitch, and the second furthest is plain knit & purl with a rib and knit bow

Welcome World!

Just wanted to introduce myself! I am a knitting & crochet over-enthusiast! I love experimenting and learning new things! I have generally taught myself to do most the things I have made :)

I think many more teenagers (me being 18) should do more of these arts and crafts! They are brilliant, fun and cheap things to do and I love it!

So I hope you enjoy reading through my blog, learn some new things and also think of things to wear/ style!
